Milk-Saver “On-the-Go” Breast Shells – Collect Leaking Breast Milk and Protect Sore Nipples
Milk-Saver “On-the-Go” Breast Shells – the perfect nipple protector and milk collection system for when you are out and about.
For more than ten years, the beloved Original Milkies Milk-Saver has been the breast milk collection system sought after by nursing moms to collect leaking breast milk from the non-nursing breast during breastfeeding sessions. And the Original Milk-Saver continues to be the ideal solution for that situation. But breastmilk leaks not just while you are actively breastfeeding, but also between feedings. How can you collect and save the precious milk that leaks while you are on the go, all while protecting your sore, tender nipples?
The Milk-Saver On-the-Go Breast Shells were designed specifically to address this need. When you’re out and about, simply slip the discreet and comfortable Milk-Saver On-the-Go breast shells in your bra and position your nipples into the rounded holes. Your sore nipples will be protected from rubbing and chafing, and the unique oblong design allows you to collect more milk than other breast shell products.
Designed by the same nursing mom, RN, and Lactation Educator who invented the Original Milkies Milk Saver, Milk-Saver On-the-Go is made right here in the United States from the safest food-grade plastic available – both BPA and phthalate-free. And unlike other breast shell products on the market, Milk-Saver On-the-Go is made without silicone, allowing a comfortable fit to your skin to reduce accidental leaks as you are on the go!
How do I use Milk-Saver On-the-Go?
Before you head out the door to run some errands or meet a friend for tea, slip the Milk-Saver On-the-Go into your bra or snug tank and position your nipple into the rounded hole. Be sure the pour spot is positioned at the top, ensuring no accidental spillage and easy removal.
How much milk do the On-the-Go breast shells hold?
The unique oblong design of the On-the-Go breast shells allows each shell to hold up to 1 ounce – more than competing breast shell products – without any risk of spills or accidental spillage from the nipple hole.
How long can I keep my collected breastmilk in the Milk-Saver On-the-Go breast shells?
Empty your Milk-Savers On-the-Go breast shells every 1-2 hours or as often as needed. Use the easy pour spout to pour the collected milk into a bag, bottle or the Milkies Milk Tray to save for future feedings.

This product is probably my favorite item I have for my second baby that I didn’t have the first time around. I have extremely low supply. I’ll pump for two 15 minute sessions and get barely an ounce total. Needless to say, every drip counts. So I really cannot put into words how important these milk savers have been to supporting my breastfeeding and, honestly, my emotional health too. My milk is liquid gold to me.

Wish I had known about the Milkies on the go savers sooner when I had my first child. It’s amazing how much milk is lost into those disposable pads. Pads feel dry after many hours but you can see how much is lost when you use these Milkies.

Exactly! It’s always so surprising to see how much milk can be saved as opposed to just thrown away… Thank you for your feedback!

Pro- Comfortable & Easy to Clean. Forgot I had them in a few times & spilt when I bend over to put baby down.
Con- I have small boobs & small nipples, so I feel this product only accommodates those types of boobs. If you have larger nipples I’d suggest the Millie’s Milk Savers as I have those too.

Wish I knew about this when my milk first came in and I had an overabundance all day but now I’m regulating more it’s only certain times of the day like early in the morning still. She is 3 months and these have assisted me I’m building a freezer stash

Pros:
-small, fairly discreet
-nipple savers!!
-sooo easy to clean
Cons:
-one seems to leak ever so slightly (like it wicks onto whatever fabric it’s touching) from the bottom, even with being careful not to lean too far forward or backward.
I have the original milk saver & bought these for my 2nd time nursing, excited about the discreetness of them & also in the hopes they could relieve latch-issue battered nipples.
They were fantastic for the latter! I only “leak” during letdown, so I also use 1 while nursing. I can collect about an oz. & bought the milk ice cube trays to use with it.
As milk collectors, they work pretty well, aside from the leak issue. I do wish they came with a carrying case or a holder that they could be stood up in, or a “plug” so I could just seal the nipple hole and store milk on the go that way.

I won this product and I’m glad I did. I have had it for a couple weeks now & have only leaked once as my son is with me at all times. The Milk Saver worked perfectly, stayed in place, & did not leak. The only negative thing I have about the product is the spout presses into my breast & leaves a mark which can be uncomfortable if I’m not distracted. Other than that I’m happy with the product & am glad that every drop of liquid gold is used. I would definitely recommend this product to busy moms everywhere.

I do.
These work great! I’ve worn them almost every day since they arrived and I’ve collected about 40oz of milk that would have went into a breast pad.

I love it. It has really helped me while I have been at school. It catches all the excess milk and there is no leakage. It isn’t noticeable either when I wear it. It is also really easy to clean. I have been really impressed with this product!

Throughout my first breastfeeding experience, I dealt with clogged ducts and mastitis constantly, so I was extremely surprised this time around, after having my daughter, to be leaking milk almost constantly- especially from my right breast.
When I saw the Milkies Milk Saver On-The-Go, I saw a product that could help me save the milk that I was literally pouring into breast pads on a daily basis. I want to have a small freezer supply for my daughter, but should not pump due to a history of significant oversupply.
The Milk Saver On-The-Go is a hard plastic breast shell that is made up of two halves that snap together. The shells are contoured to fit the form of the breast and sit in a bra discreetly (for me, they are invisible even in an unlined bra). At the top of the shell is a pour spout that allows you to empty without taking it apart and potentially making a mess while trying to pour the saved milk into another container. This is amazing for when I’m out and about- a quick, no-fuss transfer and the shell pops right back in my bra. They’re also extremely comfortable; it’s easy to forget I’m even wearing them!
While trying the Milkies Milk Saver On-The-Go, I have been able to do all my normal activities without much leakage/spillage- including bending over, and nursing. I’m able to get about an ounce per hour while wearing these around, and get even more when wearing them during a letdown. Thanks to this product, I’m able to have that small stash in the freezer for my daughter when I need a little time away!
When you’re done wearing them, the halves pop apart for easy cleaning. Just make sure they are snapped back together exactly straight- otherwise they can leak due to the curves not sitting together correctly!

I’m so excited to have found the On the Go Milk Savers on the Fairhaven Health. It’s similar to the original Milkies but has been reinvented for on-the-go moms. This is exactly what I have been looking for! Plus they are no only a reasonable price, but on sale with free shipping! Yay! Amazing find!

So, I did like it!! Feeling it being hard I honestly didn’t expect it to be comfortable…however, I forgot it was there! I wore them getting my kids ready, using crutches (I broke my foot), and in the car. This was after about 10 minutes! I go through nursing pads like crazy so being able to save the milk is a huge thing for me! It gets me so excited!!
The only downfalls for me, is that I wish they could hold more. It gets kind of annoying having to empty it a lot. But- I have an oversupply and not every woman deals with that. The other downfall is that the bottom leaks a little. Not much, but I have had a couple drops escape!
Overall, I’m extremely pleased. I’m so excited about the milk I’m saving and how easily I can hide them! I plan on wearing them every day now! 🙂

The milk saver on the go is amazing. Ditch the breast pads that just soak up all the liquid Gold. The milk saver on the go is small enough to not be so noticeabl, all while collecting your precious gold. I would recommend this to all nursing mothers to hide the embarrassing leaking. I’m going to use the milk that I have collected and my milk saver to go for baby food and 1 oz Frozen cubes for my teething baby. I highly recommend this.
