A Comprehensive Postnatal Multivitamin Designed to Meet the Unique Nutritional Needs of Nursing Women
To maintain health and produce nutritious breast milk, nursing moms need to be sure to eat a well-balanced diet, stay adequately hydrated and get plenty of rest. But, many experts agree that even doing all these things might not be enough to ensure that moms and babies stay healthy. As a result, doctors recommend that nursing moms supplement their diets with a good multivitamin. Often, a new mom will simply continue taking the prenatal vitamin she used during her pregnancy. Unfortunately, however, most prenatal vitamins do not contain enough of the specific nutrients that lactating women need to ensure health of both mother and baby.
Formulated with input from nationally-recognized lactation expert Kathleen Marinelli, MD, Nursing Postnatal provides comprehensive vitamin and mineral support, including 100% Daily Value of several vitamins and minerals, and extra amounts of key vitamins known to be especially important for lactating women, including Vitamin D and the B vitamins.
In recognition of a growing body of research that points to widespread Vitamin D deficiency among adults and children, Nursing Postnatal includes 700% Daily Value of Vitamin D (2800 IU). Once believed to be important only for bone health, recent research has revealed the critical role that Vitamin D plays in the prevention and treatment of a wide array of conditions, including high blood pressure, osteoporosis, depression, obesity, seasonal affective disorder, prostate cancer, lung cancer, breast cancer, diabetes, rickets, irritable bowel syndrome, multiple sclerosis, and rheumatoid arthritis. Although the current Daily Value for Vitamin D is set at only 400 IU, many experts are concerned that this amount grossly underestimates our need for Vitamin D and are recommending that all people, and especially lactating women, increase their daily intake of this key nutrient. By providing 700% Daily Value of Vitamin D, Nursing Postnatal helps to increase circulating levels of Vitamin D in nursing women, thereby ensuring that the breast milk produced by these women will have enough Vitamin D to prevent suboptimal Vitamin D status in their growing babies.
Nursing Postnatal also contains 200% Daily Value of essential B vitamins, including thiamin, riboflavin, niacin, Vitamin B6 and Vitamin B12. The complex of B vitamins aids in energy production, the proper function of the immune system and nervous system, and in the production of red and white blood cells. Vegetarian and vegan mothers may be at increased risk for deficiencies of vitamin B-12 because it is naturally found only in animal products. Folic acid continues to be important during nursing to aid in healthy cell production.
Similar to Nursing Blend, Nursing Postnatal contains a full complement of vitamins and minerals in just the right amounts to keep mom and baby healthy, but does not contain the herbal blend found in Nursing Blend. This breastfeeding multivitamin is intended for nursing moms looking for nutritional support who have no concerns about the quantity of the breast milk they are producing.

I’ve been taking this multivitamin since I gave birth and my breast milk is nourishing by baby. I also produce a lot of breast milk enough to pump and store for my child. Now my child is 4 months and with such a superb multivitamin my child first tooth is popping out!
I highly recommend this product!

I used this vitamin in conjunction with NB & another prenatal & my milk supply was very rich for my little one. I nursed him for 2 consecutive years until Mar 2016 when we found out we were expecting.

I am using a combination of the nursing time tea and the supplement. Within 2 days I saw a noticeable difference in the amount of milk I was producing. As long as I keep up with my fluids and my baby or the pump was completely draining my breast, I had more than enough to feed my baby and most times I have enough to pump extra afterwards. I would recommend spliting up the pills so you can get coverage all day. I found taking them at one time for the day meant that at 16-24hours my supply dips. I usually take one every 12 hrs. with breakfast and dinner, 8 in the morning and 8 at night.

I have been taking these since my daughter was two weeks old. She is now two months and growing so big! They def help your milk as well! I love the fact that I don’t have to buy vitamin d drops for baby AND vitamins for me. It’s like all in one!! And not expensive. Try them, you won’t regret it!

I was looking for a vitamin since I was nursing and was told continue taking prenatal but it
kept forgetting. I did some research online for something to take while nursing and this is the 2nd month I have been taking them and they make me feel great! My baby is going to be 8 months and I am still nursing and have energy and I know these have truly helped. Didn’t notice any difference in my milk but it has definitely made a difference in my health and energy.

I ordered the Nursing Blend at first and love it for a little milk boost and to get through the higher demands of growth spurts and teething, but on a daily basis it leaves me overflowing (not a bad problem!), so I keep that on hand but I prefer these postnatal nursing vitamins for daily use. I notice better energy when I am consistent with them day after day 🙂

The pills are a bit big for my liking… But most prenatal vitamins are big.
These although big, are easy to take.
