How should I clean the Milk-Saver?
We recommend that you use hot soapy water, boil, or run it through the top rack of the dishwasher. It is not recommended that you steam the Milk-Saver.
How many times can I use the Milk-Saver?
The Milk-Saver is reusable, therefore, you can use it as often and as long as you need.
Does it just come with one Milk-Saver?
The Milkies Milk-Saver comes with one Milk-Saver. It is to be worn on the non-nursing side during the breastfeeding/pumping session to collect any leaking milk.
How much milk will the Milk Saver hold?
The Milk-Saver holds over 2 ounces of milk.
Can you use the Milk-Saver beyond the feeding session to collect milk in place of a nursing pad?
You can certainly use it when you are not feeding instead of nursing pads, though note that they are larger than nursing pads, and therefore, not as discreet. Another thing to consider is that the “lid” that comes with it won’t prevent all the milk from spilling out if you do bend forward. We would recommend that you use the Milkies Milk-Saver On-The-Go Breast Shells in between feedings!
Will all breast/nipple sizes fit into the Milk-Saver?
The Milk-Saver was designed for most breast/nipple sizes. The diameter for the nipple opening is one inch.

I recently purchased a Milk-Saver because I wanted to start storing the unused milk in hopes that after enough feedings I would have a full bottle’s worth and could freeze it for later use. I had no idea until I started using this product how much milk came out during feedings that was wasted! Thanks to the Milk-Saver, I freeze about a whole bottle’s worth every couple of days, about extra bottles a week. Prior to finding out about this product, if I was going to need to be away from the baby for an extended period of time, say a date night with the hubby, I would have to plan for days ahead and wake up in the middle of the night to pump. I was anxious to try the milk saver since I know I’m wasting milk from the side I’m not nursing on. I can feel the let down. I put it on and then began nursing my newborn. After nursing my daughter I checked the milk saver. There it was, my precious liquid gold. I poured it into a bottle and it was just under an ounce. That could’ve all been wasted into my disposable breast pad. Saving the .25-1 oz per session has helped build my stash. Every nursing mom needs one.

I was really excited to try these as I am an over producer of milk. I am always soaking through shirts and nursing pads, especially at night. So when I got these, I bought 2 so I could have one for each side, I washed them and used them right away. When I took them out of the packing they looked really big and bulky. They are really big and awkward to wear, definitely can not wear them in public as they look terrible under clothes. I’m currently 36 E in bras and wearing these made me look silly. Plus top of the milk collector is open so milk spills out when trying to take it off to empty it. I would not recommend these to any one and I wish I could return the 2 I got and get a refund

This is a great idea in theory, but poorly executed. I feed my baby, have this on the other breast to catch the extra milk, but it all spills when I try to put the baby down. So you have to feed the baby with a place to set up this thing on before you start (like a table which I don’t have next to the couch). The other thing is that at least for me, I only leaked a ton of milk in the first couple weeks, even so it wasn’t enough to save, so it really wasn’t worth the hassle. This would be more useful if it were a smaller size that slipped into both cups of the bra to catch those random let downs during the day and be sealed so you didn’t find yourself soaked with milk in public.

Well first off, I want to be very honest… Being a new mom, I only “leaked” from the other side while nursing for the first couple of days…it stopes very shortly thee after.. The product is huge!!! Not discreet and you CANNOT wear it under clothes… Does not hold on so it is constantly slipping out of place and I personally think it’s a waste of time and money.. The company however was a pleasure working with them and they were readily available with my concerns and my return.

i like this product but it could use some improvement like a cover for the top so when you bend over without think it can spill and your milk falls all over the place and goes to waste. kind of bulky but its still but comfortable.

They work well! They are a little big! You can sometimes spill milk if you aren’t careful bc they are open on top of the compartment that catches the milk. Overall they do what they are meant to do and I have been able to save milk that would have otherwise ended up on my shirt without it!
