How should I clean the Milk-Saver?
We recommend that you use hot soapy water, boil, or run it through the top rack of the dishwasher. It is not recommended that you steam the Milk-Saver.
How many times can I use the Milk-Saver?
The Milk-Saver is reusable, therefore, you can use it as often and as long as you need.
Does it just come with one Milk-Saver?
The Milkies Milk-Saver comes with one Milk-Saver. It is to be worn on the non-nursing side during the breastfeeding/pumping session to collect any leaking milk.
How much milk will the Milk Saver hold?
The Milk-Saver holds over 2 ounces of milk.
Can you use the Milk-Saver beyond the feeding session to collect milk in place of a nursing pad?
You can certainly use it when you are not feeding instead of nursing pads, though note that they are larger than nursing pads, and therefore, not as discreet. Another thing to consider is that the “lid” that comes with it won’t prevent all the milk from spilling out if you do bend forward. We would recommend that you use the Milkies Milk-Saver On-The-Go Breast Shells in between feedings!
Will all breast/nipple sizes fit into the Milk-Saver?
The Milk-Saver was designed for most breast/nipple sizes. The diameter for the nipple opening is one inch.

I LOVE this product and would recommend it to any breastfeeding mom out there. I wish I’d had it with my first baby, but definitely so glad I found it before the birth of my second. I saved so much breast milk in the first six weeks I did not have to pump to build a supply before going back to work. I also used significantly fewer breast pads.

It wasn’t clear to me based on the overview that these only come as singles. It seems like a safe assumption that they would come in pairs, so I would recommend that you make that more obvious in your overview. I would probably not have paid that much if I knew I wasn’t getting “sets” (I ordered three thinking I was getting 3 sets). I still think these will be useful, but since the intended use is much more limited than I realized and I got half as many as I expected, I’m not sure it’s going to be worth the price.
To be clear, once I received the package, I came back here to re-read the overview and whatnot to verify and I see that it is my mistake, but just given that these are for use with boobs, which come in pairs, it’s just a very easy mistake to make.

I am one of those mommas that produce more than my fair share of milk. I love that I can put it in my bra, nurse, and let my non milking breast leak while I feed my son. I have stock piled a TON of milk just by letting my body do what it normally does. I also love that my breast can release the extra milk without putting compression on my nipple like other products. I feel like I have had a lot less engorgement issues as well as ducts that feel like they are on the verge of clogging.
A must buy for mommas especially during the first period of nursing where breasts tend to leak more!

This has been awesome for me. After a couple days I have often collected 2-5oz without ever pumping. Also better than having a wet bra/shirt! Easy to use and clean. Only bummer is that when you accidentally bend over it will spill out. But that is more human error than product error:)

I was skeptical about how easy this would be to use, but it’s so great! It does require that you leak from the non-nursing side, which I still do at 2.5 months post partum. I don’t use it every single time I nurse, but usually in the mornings, I leak and get probably .25-.5 oz in the milkies. It’s just free milk. Love it! I am a big fan.

I absolutely love my milk-saver. I can get anywhere from 0.5oz to 2 oz per feeding from the opposite breast. I especially enjoy using this during nighttime feedings when my baby sleeps for longer periods of time. It helps prevent some seriously painful engorgement. By using my milk-saver during almost every feeding, I stock up about 10+oz of extra milk without having to pump. It’s pretty amazing and I want to buy one of these for all of my pregnant or new mom friends.

I used this product in 2011 and 2014 after the births of each of my girls. With my first born, I leaked nearly as much milk as I pumped. While I was pumping on one side, I was leaking almost the same amount out of the other side. What a WASTE that would have been without this awesome invention! And when I wasn’t pumping, I was still leaking! I wore this regularly. As much as I loved it (and oh how I loved it), I would have never given it five stars for one reason – NO LID. The number of times I spilled milk was depressing. Being sick, sleep-deprived, and recovering from labor and delivery, I often forgot I was even wearing this product – not to mention it was comfortable enough that I wouldn’t realize I had it on still. I spilled almost full containers of breast milk on the carpet, tile, bed, desk, at work, at home, and on my newborn! NO GOOD. I see now that the product has a lid and I am VERY EXCITED to try it later this year with the birth of baby #3. THANK YOU FOR INVENTING THIS!!!! Lastly, I am a super cheap-o with almost all things. I hate spending money, let alone unnecessarily. This item was worth every penny to me.

My wife and I thought this would be something she could wear at work to collect milk, and at the time the description was a little vague. We bought two of them and found it was a waste of time. If you are completely stationary one will work while feeding, but two is useless. You shouldn’t allow someone to buy two of them at a time for this reason. Waste of money.
