The Fairhaven Health Digital Basal Thermometer allows a woman to determine her body temperature for basal body temperature (BBT) charting purposes. Designed specifically for fertility charting, the Fairhaven Health Basal Thermometer combines pinpoint accuracy with safety and ease of use.
Our digital basal thermometer provides temperature readings to 1/100th of a degree Fahrenheit – perfect for fertility charting and predicting ovulation. Because consistency and accuracy are critical, the thermometer also offers helpful charting functions, such as digital memory recall and a peak temperature indicator.

How do I use this to chart my BBT?
We generally recommend that you start charting at the beginning of your cycle to be able to get a full picture- cycle day 1 (1st day of full menstrual bleeding). It’s also VERY important to take your temperature at the same time each day. We recommend you set an alarm and take it at that time each day, prior to getting up and out of bed.
What degree is the reading display?
This thermometer does display temperature to the 1/100th degree.
What is the accuracy of this thermometer?
It has certified accuracy to 1/10th of a degree – but does read to 1/100th of a degree.
Does this thermometer read in Celsius as well as Fahrenheit?
No, the digital basal thermometer only reads in Fahrenheit.
How does the memory work? Does it automatically save it or do I need to do something manually?
The unit will save your last recorded temperature, and will display that temperature by pressing and holding down the on/off button (do not release). Once you release the on/off button, you will see the display change to 97.7, then LO with a flashing F – to indicate the unit is ready to be used again.
Can this thermometer be used to measure BBT vaginally or just orally?
Our Digital Basal Thermometer is designed to be used orally.
Is there mercury in this thermometer?
The Digital Basal Thermometer is mercury-free.
Does this thermometer have a backlight?
No, the thermometer does not have a back light feature.
What kind of battery does it take?
The unit takes a 1.5 V AVG3 battery (SR41, UCC392, or LR41).
How long does this take to get your temp?
It takes roughly 2 minutes.
Does this thermometer beep continuously while it’s taking your temperature, or just once when it’s finished?
The thermometer should beep once it has recorded a temperature. If it doesn’t get a temperature saved for the day, it will continue to beep alerting you that no reading was saved. For any further questions, please contact customer service at info@fairhavenhealth.com.
