OvaCue Predicts PLUS Confirms Ovulation!

The OvaCue Fertility Monitor consists of a hand-held monitor with a color screen, a saliva sensor, and a cervical mucus sensor - the ideal combination for pinpointing your most fertile days in your cycle and for confirming when ovulation occurred. Take the guesswork out of your fertility by seamlessly reading and tracking your body's biology clues with the OvaCue Fertility Monitor and companion website, OvaGraph. Women who know when they are fertile have a higher chance of getting pregnant during that cycle. Don't let another month pass you by!

  • Zero recurring costs for urine test sticks or charting subscriptions.

  • Works for women with irregular cycles and PCOS too.

  • Quick and easy - testing takes only a few seconds each day.

How It Works

The OvaCue is a monitor that measures changes in the electrolyte levels in your saliva and cervical mucus that are impacted by the hormone estrogen. Simply place the oral sensor on your tongue daily and the OvaCue will record a reading of the electrolyte resistance in your saliva. The monitor will track trends in these readings, looking to identify a specific trend (called the “Cue Peak) that marks the beginning of your fertile window. Once this trend is detected, the monitor will color-in the calendar with varying shades of blue (from light to dark), indicating low to peak fertility, and providing 5-7 days advance notice of ovulation. With several days advance notice of ovulation, you are able to increase your chances of conception. The OvaCue keeps track of your current cycle day and current fertility status — and it stores up to 4 months of readings.

Once you begin use of the vaginal sensor, the monitor is able to track trends in the vaginal readings to determine when your body switches from estrogen dominance to progesterone dominance, the clue it uses to confirm that ovulation occurred.* As you move through your fertile window, signified by the blue days on the calendar, the monitor will be tracking the vaginal readings closely so that it can detect the trend it is looking for to confirm ovulation. Once this trend is detected, the monitor will display a pink box, indicating “ovulation confirmed”. In some cases, depending on the specific hormonal fluctuations of the user, the monitor will also display a purple box two or more days following the pink box, which also indicates “ovulation confirmed.” Please note that when both a pink and purple box are displayed on the calendar during a cycle, interpretation of actual reading data may be required to determine whether ovulation occurred with the pink box or with the purple box.

*Note: Vaginal ultrasound is the only method available that confirms ovulation with 100% accuracy. With the OvaCue, we can detect specific trends which indicate ovulation. Even with the display of the pink or purple box, we do recommend you continue to interpret your data to confirm that ovulation occurred successfully.

Works for Irregular Cycles and PCOS and Here's Why

The OvaCue is used successfully by women with irregular cycles and Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS). While other fertility monitors predict ovulation based on the attainment of a pre-determined level of a given hormone (either luteinizing hormone, estrogen, or a combination of the two), the OvaCue has no predetermined level set — rather, it interprets each reading in your cycle in relation to your previous readings. OvaCue doesn't look for a specific reading based on statistical averages, it looks for an overall trend in your body's own unique readings. This method of ovulation determination is particularly suitable for women with irregular cycles since a hormonal imbalance may prevent you from reaching a predetermined hormone level prior to ovulation.

For women with highly irregular cycles, it may also be necessary to interpret actual reading data (in addition to looking at the color coding on the screen of the monitor), to accurately determine your fertility status. Irregular cycles are commonly caused by hormonal imbalances. For women with a hormonal imbalance, ovulation may occur before or after the predicted time frame that the saliva sensor provides. If you happen to ovulate earlier then the oral sensor predicted — the cervical mucus sensor will be able to notify you if ovulation is actually occurring sooner. This is also the case if ovulation is occurring later than the oral reading had originally predicted.

Seamlessly View Your Chart Across Devices

With your purchase of the OvaCue Fertility Monitor, you will also receive free, unlimited access to OvaGraph a full-featured fertility charting tool that allows you to store, graph, and print your OvaCue readings. To get the most from your OvaCue monitor, we encourage charting with OvaGraph to allow the OvaCue Specialists at Fairhaven Health to assist with interpretation of OvaCue readings, whenever necessary. Uploading your OvaCue readings to your OvaGraph account is quick and easy. Once you've created your account at OvaGraph.com, simply plug the USB cord included with your purchase into your OvaCue monitor and into your computer. Your readings will be transferred automatically to your graphs at OvaGraph. If you have the OvaGraph app loaded on your mobile device, you will be able to view all the same data no matter whether you are on desktop/laptop, tablet or smart phone.

Does the software work on an Apple computer?

By Customer Service on January 10, 2012

Answer:
The software has been discontinued and is no longer included in the OvaCue Bundle. Instead, we've developed a free online charting website, www.OvaGraph.com, where you can chart all of your OvaCue data. It's a great place to chart your OvaCue readings and any other charting methods you may use, and has a great community of ladies to help answer any and all of your TTC questions.

Can the ovacue be used to prevent pregnancy for natural family planning?
By Customer Service on October 11, 2011

Answer:
While designed as an aid to conceiving, OvaCue is not cleared by the FDA as a means of preventing pregnancy, though there certainly are people who use the product in this manner. OvaCue is the only monitor approved by the Vatican as consistent with the teachings of the Catholic church. In addition, a study was conducted by Marquette University on the OvaCue's potential role as an aid to NFP:

I am in Australia and I am interested in purchasing the bundle, I was wondering how much it is for delivery to Australia and if you know what taxes charges apply to it being an international purchase.
By Customer Service on February 1, 2012

Answer:
International shipping is a flat fee of $29.95. Unfortunately, taxes seem to be applied quite randomly and we have no control over which packages get charged and others don't.

I was wondering, I have irregular cycles and have checked a few times with my obgyn and docs and everything is completely fine with me. My husband and I are young and trying to concieve and want to try the OvaCue and I have read mostly successful stories on the OvaCue and I was just wondering:

If I do not ovulate basically means I won't be having a period that month, would the OvaCue tell me that I won't be ovulating? Or basically? go to question 1

I have to have a cycle in order for the OvaCue to do a reading on me correct?

I use the OvaCue during the 2nd day of my menstrual period correct?

Will the OvaCue change my days of ovulation or days leading up to ovulation base on my oral reading?

Will the OvaCue change my days of ovulation or days leading up to ovulation base on my vaginal reading?

i did not have a period for a year and now it starts back, i do not use any kind of birth control or anything at all.

Before my period stopped, Every month, i usually have my cycle on the beginning of each month that first week and then goes like that every month, what should I imput for my cycle days now then?

since it i did not have it for a year and now it's going again?

thank you for your help,

Vase
By Customer Service on December 1, 2011

Answer:
Hi there,

It's possible to have a period and not ovulate. If you are using both the oral and vaginal sensor, you would be able to detect if you are ovulating or not each month. It would not tell you in advance but your readings would indicate one or the other.

You do have to have a menstrual cycle in order to use the OvaCue and you begin on cycle day 2 (second day of your period).

The oral sensor will detect when your body selects the dominant follicle and predict a fertile window. The vaginal sensor will refine this fertile window if need be and confirm ovulation.

We recommend that you take an average of your last 3 cycles. I'd recommend you see if your period continues.

Feel free to contact OvaCue customer service at info@fairhavenhealth.com for further questions.

By Jessica from NY, NY on December 20, 2011
Can I use this as a form of NFP to not conceive? How accurate will it be if I'm still nursing and cycles are longer then they use to be?
By Customer Service on December 30, 2011

Answer:
The OvaCue is not approved by the FDA for Natural Family Planning. However, we do know that many women use it for that purpose. We do urge all women using it for that method, use both the oral and vaginal sensor. The oral sensor will open your fertile window, while the vaginal sensor will close your fertile window. Breastfeeding can alter your hormones and cause hormonal imbalance . . therefore, it may take further interpretation as your cycle slowly regulates. Feel free to contact our customer service team, as we have representatives specifically dedicated to the OvaCue.

Doesn't work for abnormal hormones
July 7, 2016
Easy to use. Pretty nice charts. Easy way to keep track of your cycles. However, not useful for me. I don't have PCOS, but my cycles are irregular due to abnormal Prolactin hormone. This is my story: on Thursday, I used an ovulation kit, and it became positive. I also I took an ultrasound and dr said you have ovulated a few hours ago. But Ovacue was medium Blue. On Friday, it became dark blue and predicted pink for Saturday! Then it became purple next Wednesday, 6 days after my ovulation happened and proved by ultrasound! If your hormones are not normal, make sure you use other methods of prediction as well. Don't rely only on Ovacue.
Merchant Response:
Hi there, Thanks for your review. I'm so sorry to hear that you haven't had success with the OvaCue. For women with irregular cycles, we do highly recommend you don't rely on color coding and instead interpret your raw data! Given that you saw a pink and purple box, it sounds like there are some ups and downs in your readings, making it a bit harder to interpret. We would love for you to connect with our OvaCue Specialist so she can help you to interpret your data. You can reach her at whitney@fairhavenhealth.com. Thanks and we look forward to helping you!

April 15, 2016
My package came quickly and desecrate! As I was going through everything, I noticed that it required 2 AAA batteries, but they were not in my box. It say's right on the box that the batteries are included, but for some reason mine did not come with any. I am a little bummed because I don't have any AAA batteries lying around and I am unable to turn on the device to check it out. But all in all, I am extremely excited to start using my OvaCue!!! It looks very easy to use. I will write another review after my first cycle using the product!

pregnant
March 17, 2016
I struggled to get pregnant for about 2 years. My cycles ranged from 38-65 days. My doctor suggested ovulation testing to see if I was ovulating at all, so I went to the hospital to get blood work done every 3 days for about 15 days and found out that for that cycle I ovulated around day 28! Obviously just going by a cycle calendar was useless. I saw this device online and ordered it, I asked my doctor about it and he seemed skeptical but I kept it. The first 2-3 months I was really bad about doing the testing, but finally, I went a whole month of testing regularly. We had sex the day before OvaCue said I was going to ovulate and we got pregnant! I feel confident that when we are ready for our 2nd child we'll have success using this device again.

IT WORKS!!
March 9, 2016
Husband and I have been "not preventing" for a year. Our doctor said that if we didn't get pregnant within a year, we should see a specialist so went ahead and made an appointment with a Fertility specialist - on a Thursday. The doctor ordered all these tests that my insurance doesn't pay for! Well, thankfully, I found out that Sunday I was pregnant. Praise the Lord for this monitor!! We purchased it and had been using it for ONE MONTH...and it showed that I ovulated early. Our timing was simply off. By using the calendar's color code, we were able to pinpoint when I ovulated and here we are - 2 pink lines!! Truly grateful!
Pros:
Very easy to use.

It does what it says it does?
January 20, 2016
I was skeptical at first based on a lot of negative reviews, some stating that it did not predict ovulation others that it didn't check the electrolytes. However, there were many great reviews as well that made me purchase this product. My verdict is... It works! I wanted a product that was telling me what was going on inside my body along with bbt charting and the FAM method. I think this product is effective to use as a means of contraception (although it is not designed for that) if it used along with bbt charting, checking cm (cervical mucus) and other signs. I have irregular periods. The oral probe was able to tell me my body was attempting ovulation several times because of the cue peaks and the vaginal probe confirmed ovulation on the day of the first rise. The ovacue was spot on with the bbt reading. So just incase you're concerned, the ovacue does not work based on the number of days you put for your average cycle and it does read (especially the vaginal probe) the electrolytes in the cm. If you are confused, there are experts that can help you out! So..Is it worth the money? Yes it is, based on what you think is economical for you. Below is a picture of my chart. Good Luck.
Cons:
The color code prediction is off. What I mean is the ovacue color coding was stating I was infertile. Then one day, when I used the oral probe the colors changed and the days that were infertile the previous days became possibly fertile. Also, the color code did not show that I was going to ovulate(no pink box), however it changed on the day of ovulation (to pink) when I used the vaginal probe. So my advise is to use the ovagraph to chart the readings and read off the raw data. By doing so I was able to predict (based on my v readings and other signs) that I was about to ovulate.

Pros:

Cons:

So far, So good
December 15, 2015
I have been using this product for almost a month now. My cycle is very irregular because of some other health issues, and I bought it to help me predict when I would be ovulating. It successfully showed ovulation through Day 1 of my next cycle (all of which matched up enough with what was on the screen and what I noticed going on with my body), which somehow happened to coincide with my buying this product, so I got to see how it worked right away. Now I'm entering into the testing phase where my cycle is so irregular that I have no idea what to expect, so time will tell if this product will truly work. I have a 70-90 day cycle. Overall, I am satisfied with this product and am comfortable trusting that it seems to work with what I've seen so far.
Pros:
Easy to navigate the system. Quick and easy readings.

PASSED THE TEST!
December 12, 2015
I bought this product two and a half months ago as a means of non-hormonal birth control and responsible family planning. I tried several types of birth control as my now husband and I prepared for marriage. I spent weeks sick from the hormones in them, before finally deciding that we would have to simply become familiar with my anatomy and biology in order to prevent pregnancy until we were prepared to become parents. We had no choice - we had to go the non-hormonal course. I had to become in charge of my body. We waited until our wedding night to have sex for the first time and my poor husband discovered then and over the course of our honeymoon that he despised condoms. At this time, I had been using a basal thermometer, in addition to checking my cervical mucus daily and knew that I was fertile over this special time. Unfortunately, my special thermometer and records were stolen when my backpack was stolen on our honeymoon and I had to start over. So, I made the decision to finally purchase the Ovacue Fertility Monitor. I began using it right away and over the last couple of months, I've watched it accurately predict my fertility and infertility! It's been exciting to watch and I'm excited to use this over the next few years as we choose to prevent pregnancy and then eventually choose to become pregnant. I highly recommend this product for pregnancy or pregnancy prevention! What an easy way to take back your body!
Pros:
Non-Hormonal Birth Control Painless Full Control of your Body

Very useful to understand my cycle
December 7, 2015
Easy to use. Gave me useful feedback about where I am in my cycle. May not have been useful by itself, because my readings didn't match typical cycles, but combined with BBT and OPKs helped me get the timing very accurate.
Pros:
Gives you an idea of where you are in your cycle. Helps figure out what would be a good time to stat trying a few days in advance. Helped me figure out when to start using OPKs and Ovacue combined with BBT and OPKs got the timing right.

Yes But No.
November 19, 2015
It is easy to use and compact. (even though I had to buy a different bag for it) But it doesn't seem to be reading properly for me. I use the monitor at the exact same time every day and follow all the directions to a T but it says I have ovulated twice this week. It is very expensive almost $500 Canadian and doesn't even come with a proper bag that will fit it all.

This is an excellent device for homeuse!
November 16, 2015
This is an excellent device for homeuse! I am only unhappy - that I have just now found OvaCue, just by chance, and decided to try it! I have lost my time using other methods, which are very often uncomfortable and not suitable to the real life (e.g the Basal Temperatur Method: you should always sleep at the same time, same long, forget Party weekends, never drink an alkohol, better don't go to the sauna, dont use most of fertility medications, otherwise you cannot use the results of temperature method for ovulation prediction. And nearly all other instruments even less helpful). If somebody searching for good advice - then I would tell you, just don't loose your time, money and good hopes using any other methods and devices! The amount and quality of information that you obtain using your OvaCue is excellent!

Simple to use--if you are carful
November 11, 2015
I like how I can track my levels on my I phone and the monitor; however, one must be carful when using this device. I wake at 4:30 am, and I accidentally took a reading for the wrong day--you can not amend this. Now my cycle on the device reads one day behind--but my I phone is up to date. I wish my I phone gave automatic ovulation days in color like the device does. Overall I am happy with this product after 1 1/2 cycles of use.

Pregnant after first month
October 10, 2015
After two years of TTC my options were IUI or surgery to remove blocked tube and then start clomid. I have irregular cycles. Hormone levels looked normal but ultrasound revealed I have PCOS. After taking a break my gynecologist recommeded I TTC for three cycles before seeing the RE again. After one cycle of using urine based OPKs I decided to purchase the ovacue monitor. I got pregnant after the first month! I felt I had wasted so many months of trying using OPKs that weren't predicting my ovulation accurately. I felt like all the odds were against me but something was telling me I needed to give the ovacue monitor a try...perhaps my fear of surgery. I am so glad I did. I know the price is a little high but take a risk. It's cheaper than IUI or IVF. Some insurance companies may reimburse a portion of the cost, mine did. Good luck to all of you out there.

The BEST!!
September 29, 2015
This instrument has been a Godsend in helping me figure out what my hormones are doing at any given time during the month. I'm sure I'm unusual in that I'm using it to help me travel the fun road of perimenopause. I was hoping when I bought it that it would identify hormone highs and lows, and it certainly has! To be honest, it's not only been educational but also a wee bit fun to see how the readings translate on the graph (-; . It's been an real eyeopener! I recommend this product with no hesitation at all!!
Pros:
*SO easy to use (and I am a person who is always the most easily confused (-; ) *Long-lasting battery *I don't find the sensors uncomfortable at all, and they are very easy to wash. *One of the biggest pros is the CUSTOMER SERVICE. OMGosh, are they ever helpful!! I've had a few questions, and they've always been quick to respond and are extremely knowledgeable. THANK YOU, FAIRHAVEN HEALTH (-: !!
Cons:
*It is expensive, but to get this kind of technology, it's not going to be something you can get off the grocery's shelf. Look at it this way: it's a heck of a lot more economic (in $ as well as time) to use this than to go to the doctor's office constantly for tests at certain times of every month. *You need to take readings every morning all through your cycle if you want the most accurate charting, but it's really easy and fast. I'm sure that if you're trying to conceive a baby, you won't mind the small inconvenience each morning!

Missed the mark
August 19, 2015
I bought this meter to help determine my ovulation date for natural contraception. I did my best to measure fluids at the same time each day. The meter indicated I already ovulated several days prior, so I thought we were in the clear...and I got pregnant. Graphing my results, it appeared the meter made a bad call and I ovulated on the day in question. But now I have a beautiful daughter and my husband got a vasectomy. I gave the meter to a friend to help her try to conceive. Several months later, no luck, and she gets disagreements between the meter's predicted ovulation date and her ovulation test strips/basal temperature.

Great product
August 4, 2015
Great product, but can be a bit confusing at times. Especially when dealing with clomid cycles. It does offer you a chance to enter the date you start taking fertility meds and it is supposed to take that into consideration. My cycle with it they monitor had predicted ovulation a few days earlier than I actually did (using bbt, and cm as indicators). It is a good way to track progesterone levels if you get the vaginal sensor.
Pros:
Good way to track progesterone levels and to see possible trends like seconday fertility.
Cons:
Can be a bit confusing to understand at times.

Natural Family Planning
June 29, 2015
Have used for 1.5 months. Birth control pills had raised blood pressure 25 points. Other side effects, but the high blood pressure made me look at all other options. The unit clearly says "not for contraceptive use" but I needed something healthier for my body. We plan on kids in the future, but not right away. If I misuse the unit and get pregnant, will still be happy. This lets me know my body better, and so far has been accurate.
Pros:
Easy to use and keeps track of info 1 time cost Discreet Healthiest option Long term use
Cons:
Price seemed high, but over course of time will actually be cheaper. Vaginal wand doesn't fit in bag, and harder to travel with discreetly.

Necessity for TTC
June 27, 2015
I purchased the Ovacue two months ago to help conceive our fourth child. We had been using BBT charting and ovulation tests, but found those methods didn't have much advance warning that the fertile time was approaching. It predicts fertility about 5-7 days in advance with the oral readings. I like that the Ovacue is so quick and silent taking readings! It takes seconds which allows you to take readings anywhere. I've taken readings at other people's homes, hotels and public restrooms. The Ovagraph community is helpful and knowledgable with interpreting readings. You're not on own after you purchase the product. You can add data via the free Ovagraph app. The device uses color codes to represent the level of fertility which is great, but I wish it showed the line graph of data on the device too. You can only see the line graph of your raw data on the Ovagraph website. I feel the graph is the most valuable piece of imformation in determining fertility and it should be available immediately on the device. The vaginal readings provide a wealth of information. It's as close as you can get to the accuracy of vaginal ultrasound without the cost and hassle.

works very well, for PCOS & medicated cycles
June 22, 2015
I have PCOS and bought this monitor to track my irregular cycles. After spending so much money on pregnancy tests and ovulation kits, I wish I'd just bought this monitor from the start. The $300 isn't that much compared to how much I spent on all that other stuff! (And you don't need a bunch of $20 pregnancy tests if you discover you aren't even ovulating, like I did!) I loved being able to track estrogen and progesterone every day -- because I have irregular cycles I couldn't use the color coding, but the graph was very easy to interpret. The graph showed me that I didn't ovulate, and it showed when I didn't ovulate on the original low dose of Femara that I was given. When we upped the dose of Femara, I could confirm that I did in fact ovulate (which was also confirmed at the doctor via ultrasound). When you're on Femara or Clomid they suppress estrogen so you probably won't get the estrogen peak a week before ovulation (at least I didn't), but I did get the low progesterone for 3 days ahead of ovulation so I had 3-day warning prior to ovulation. Ended up getting pregnant on that try! I confirmed that the monitor was accurate since it lined up with the LH surge on my ovulation kit. It was so nice to be able to actually check my hormone levels and be certain what was working and what wasn't. Great product, and trust me, if it takes you even a few months to get pregnant, it's well worth the price.
Pros:
very easy to use, had no trouble getting the vaginal & oral sensors to give accurate readings
Cons:
having to switch back and forth between the oral and vaginal sensors is kind of annoying -- I know, it only takes 2 seconds, but I wish that it had a place for me to just plug in both so that I didn't have to keep unplugging and plugging them. It's very easy to use anyway, I just think that change would make it even better!

I think I got a lemon (or there's something wrong with me)
June 19, 2015
I don't know if I received a defective unit or if my body just doesn't like this monitor, but the readings I've gotten from my OvaCue have yet to be accurate (I've compared them to bloodwork and ultrasounds done by my RE and the OvaCue's results are never confirmed by my RE's findings). I wanted to love this monitor. I was extremely excited to get it, as my husband and I have been TTC without success for over 8 months now, but my readings have been consistently all over the map (in spite of following the directions to a T and taking my measurements at the same time every day). I've tried using it while taking fertility medications (this month) and without taking fertility medications (other months) and it has yet to give me an accurate picture of my cycle, at least assuming that the bloodwork and ultrasounds my RE is doing are accurate, which I have no reason to doubt. In spite of all of this, I seem to be in the minority, so I'm going to guess that there's either something wrong with my unit or that my body (for whatever reason) just doesn't work with the OvaCue. For example, this month it confirmed that I "ovulated" three days before I actually did (following a strange, highly variable W-shaped graph in the days leading up to it). I know that the ovulation "confirmation" was incorrect because I had an ultrasound and bloodwork the following day, which showed that I had NOT ovulated (I did ovulate 3 days later after a trigger shot of HCG). The previous month, it was unable to determine which day I ovulated as well (I had both a pink and purple box) and my readings were all over the place (again, in spite of following the instructions to a T). The results were close-ish to being accurate, but for this much money, I expected it to perform better than standard "pee on a stick" OPK's. I've since given up on using my OvaCue and am disappointed that I wasted my money on a monitor that gives me less accurate results than standard OPK's, however I believe that these monitors do in fact work for most people and that mine is just an anomaly, either because of me or because of the monitor itself being defective in some way. I wouldn't dissuade anyone from trying the OvaCue, but it's not for me, apparently.
Pros:
more advanced notice of fertile days as compared to OPK's, ovulation confirmation (if it works correctly), easy to use, color-coded display, clear directions, readings take very little time
Cons:
not accurate (for me, at any rate), have to transfer readings into my phone to see a graph of my fertility rather than the unit being "all-in-one", navigation of controls could stand to be streamlined, expensive, limits the times that I can have intercourse without impacting my readings, readings must be taken at the same time every day for maximum accuracy (not a big deal, except that it can be a hassle when trying to plan evening activities while still making time for the vaginal reading)

Will we conceive?
June 16, 2015
I've been having somewhat normal cycles until November 2014, but then the cycle date changed by one day earlier in December 2014, and this time it was a few days past what I was used to. Luckily, I had my monitor on me. TTC in the military is difficult, so this is an extra plus to have around. If you have cycles that vary from month to month, make sure you adjust the monitor- when my current cycle went to 31 days instead of 27, I got different peak days from the monitor. Hopefully we conceive this cycle, but it has been a great practice tool in the event conception doesn't happen. Definitely chart this with BBT (the BBT thermometer is great- I would also recommend. It's been pretty indestructible from the two times I dropped it in its case). Yes, it's expensive but it's worth the money if you can't figure out a good time to conceive. It's also worth the money if you're a military spouse trying to have a baby and DH is out. Hopefully a baby comes out of this cycle!
Pros:
Color coding, free charting with Ovagraph (great site)

Great Purchase
June 3, 2015
I got pregnant the first month using the monitor, even though I started using it on Day 8 of my cycle. Because I started late, I read up on how to interpret the data and used the OvaGraph app on my iPad to help, since it is clearly stated in the directions that the monitor will not accurately color code your calendar if you start late. However, because I used the graphing app and interpreted my readings myself, I could clearly and easily determine when I was about the ovulate and confirm when it actually happened. This monitor was easy to use and very helpful. I'm now almost 7 weeks pregnant! I would definitely recommend this product to a friend...and already have!

Only lasted 3 years
June 3, 2015
I bough this device in 2011 after my first miscarriage. My husband and I used this to conceive our little girl. We also were using to keep track of my fertile time as to when to use protection. However, the device froze up in 2014 and hasn't worked since. This is an expensive product that does work, but for a limited time. When I spend this much money on a product I expect it to last a for more than 3 years. So yes I would recommend, but with a warning of a time limit.
Pros:
Does keep track of fertile time.
Cons:
Product doesn't last.

Satisfied
June 1, 2015
I really like this monitor & feel it simply helps me track my cycle. The first one I bought stopped working after a few weeks. They replaced it with a new one. One good thing is you'll know if it stops working by weird numbers that are very different from other readings. This is a great thing to get even just to keep track of your cycle or when to have intercourse.

Great to use if you have irregular cycles
June 1, 2015
I've always had irregular cycles, and wanted to use some form of monitor to help with TTC for our first baby. For a year prior to this, I had been using the Clear Blue Easy Fertility Monitor. I am taking Letrozole to help with stimulating ovulation, and on my Clear Blue monitor it always just gave me a medium reading, so I never actually knew when I was ovulating. Plus to buy all the sticks gets pricey as well. After doing my research I decided to try out the OvaCue because I read it was great for those with irregular cycles. I like that I can also enter in the monitor what cycle day I take my medication on. I also like that you dont have to buy any more sticks to pee on. The oral and vaginal sensors are really easy to use as well. I've only been using the monitor for 2 cycles now, and I can already find the days that I"m ovulating as well as fertile days. Still not pregnant yet, but the OvaCue is definitely helping me figure out my cycle!
Pros:
Super easy to use, can enter data in ovagraph.com, no extra costs (buying more sticks) , not big and bulky, gives accurate readings (within a few days)
Cons:
Shipping to Canada was expensive enough, and then I got charged with duty big time! Along with the exchange rate it ended up costing almost $500

Pregnant after 2 Months TTC
April 7, 2015
I can't say enough positive things about the OvaCue. I have shorter cycles (24-26 days) and was unsure about the timing of my ovulation. I am glad that I ordered the OvaCue because it indicated to me that I ovulated earlier in my cycle than I thought--on CD 11. After two cycles using the OvaCue, I got my positive pregnancy test. I am beyond thrilled. There is a bit of a learning curve involved with understanding your readings. However, I emailed Whitney from Fairhaven Health and she was always very prompt and helpful responding to my emails and questions. Thank you, OvaCue!
Pros:
Friendly and helpful customer service
Cons:
Learning curve

Great Products
February 11, 2015
My husband and I never used birth control for the first 3 years of our marriage thinking if we got pregnant that would be fine. Well, we never did get pregnant. It was very frustrating. We decided to talk to my O.B. about our concerns, and or course he sent us to a specialist. I never wanted to go through invitro or any kind of medical procedures. I was 35 when we got married, had one 9 year old daughter from a previous relationship, and had never had fertility problems. My husband decided to get checked out, and found out his sperm count was low. I don't remember the exact count (it was low), but the dr told him, it was possible to conceive. The Dr also mentioned a couple of tests, or procedures, but we were not interested because the outcome these procedures was not guaranteed. After much prayer, and some online research, I came across this website. I ordered the Count Boost & Motility Boost for him, and the Fertilaid Val Pack for myself. We also ordered this monitor. Altogether, we spent around $500, it seemed like a lot, but really if you think about it, it's really not. We got started on this on July 2012 - we took it for 3 months faithfully. By the time November 2012 rolled around I was discouraged because I had read reviews here that most women became pregnant after only 3 months. I stopped eating healthy like I had been, and just didn't take Feritlaid pills like I had been. December 2012, after spotting a little and thinking my period had started, I decided to take a pregnancy test, just to rule out the idea I could be pregnant. To my surprise I got a positive result on my pregnancy test!!! I could not believe it! Neither could my husband, so his response was "you have to do a blood test". I didn't do the blood test, because I knew and I knew! Our beautiful baby girl is a blessing, she was born August 2013, the Lord heard our prayers! She is healthy, beautiful and brings much joy to our lives! I encourage you to keep searching, keep asking, and keep knocking. His timing is perfect. If you are on this website it is not by coincidence. And just like when you feel like giving up, hang on because that's when amazing things happen. So, I say to you: pray, trust and have faith. Even if that faith is as small as a mustard seed. I used to read other peoples reviews, and wished and hope it was me writing one of them. Now it is me, and soon it could be you! Also, I am so glad we ordered this monitor which help pin point exactly when I was ovulating. Blessings to you!

Excellent Product
January 13, 2015
It was accurate on letting me know my days I ovulated. The vaginal sensor rarely worked often showing the description of over 400 and try again. The monitor never showed a pink box, therefore, I don't know if the monitor was completely accurate. That's why I am giving a 3 star rating. I didn't get pregnant yet. I'm also age 41 and that might be a reason why I have not gotten pregnant even though my husband and I have been on the bundles for men and women for months.
Cons:
The vaginal sensor rarely worked!

Still yet to help me conceive
December 30, 2014
I have very regular cycles and have been using the monitor for 3 so far. I have been using the clearblue digital fertility monitor for a year now, which I like better, and seems for me to be more accurate based on blood work and doctor appointments and vaginal ultrasounds that matched my clearblue monitor and put this monitor late in detection. My oral sensor never reads correctly - it is always super duper low and I have had fairhaven health confirm it seems to be out of wack so I had to order a new one. We've been TTC for about a year now and I am 32 and we don't want to put it off any longer as far as we are concerned and we are super excited to try to conceive our first baby, but no luck yet. After using the clearblue fertility monitor about a year and no luck, I tried this expensive monitor and both the oral and vaginal sensors to try to see if my clearblue digital monitor matched this more expensive high tech one. Then after a year of TTC, and using the clearblue monitor a year and this one 2 months, we didn't want to put it off any longer so we decided to at least go through fertility testing to make sure everything with both of us is fine. So far all tests seem to be just fine, nothing identified for my blood work is off, ovulation is happenening and has been confirmed with tons of blood work visits and multiple vaginal ultrasounds, however, my clearblue fertility monitor still seems to be on the spot with the blood work and testing while my ovucue still seems to be behind. I will continue to use it because the more the merrier and I just feel better monitoring it with multiple things since they aren't too far off, and I love being able to compare cycles on the charting, but this is very expensive for it to seem to be a bit "last minute" detecting ovulation for me compared to my other device and blood work and ultrasounds. I am bumbed that I had to pay another 25.00 for an oral sensor due to having so much trouble with my first one it came with but it is out of the time frame they will replace it. After reading all these great reviews about people getting pregnant, and knowing our bodies are functioning just fine after so much testing and trying for a year, I have to say I think some people happened to get lucky that they got pregant as soon as they started using this or a month or two after, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed the monitors continue to help us!
Pros:
graphs, charts, you can enter so much stuff and even add additional notes love having something to monitor and then compare cycles to cycles love the vaginal sensor - i think it is great you can monitor that type of thing and see how it changes on the graph to confirm things
Cons:
oral sensor not working and it is hard to detect what numbers are more realistic to what may be off and a sign that it is not working as well as it should but i did get it confirmed with fairhaven that i may need a new one very expensive and just bumbed it still has not helped me conceive even though i know it cannot guarantee pregnancy, it is tough when you've tried for a year for your first baby and are already 32 and some have so much success the first month or two using it - just wish we could say the same good luck to all!

Did not ovulate
December 29, 2014
I'm on my second round of Clomid (50 mg, 3-7) CD 27. I have a normal 30-32 day cycle. One of 2 things happened, either I didn't ovulate or it did not detect my ovulation because I only received one dark blue day and no pink/purple days. Furthermore, my V readings are stills super low, which indicates high estrogen (most likely due to the clomid) and low progesterone. I couldn't give the Ovacue 5 stars as of yet because I am still on my first cycle using it and am still getting to know This contraption. But, it does take the guesswork out of knowing if I did in fact ovulate or not, as opposed to false positives clomid women generally get with OPKs. I intend on giving another review of 5 stars if I actually fall pregnant as other women have using this device.
Pros:
Easy to use, easy to read
Cons:
