About Myo-Folate Drink Mix for Reproductive Health

Myo-Folate Provides Two Key Nutrients for Reproductive Wellness in a Drinkable Format. Myo-Folate is a dietary supplement that combines two powerful ingredients for supporting reproductive health – myo-inositol and folate – in a convenient, drinkable formula that is easy on your stomach. Just mix one packet with water or any non-carbonated beverage to get 2000 mg of myo-inositol and 333 mcg of methylfolate, a more bioavailable form of folate than synthetic folic acid.

Myo-Folate provides 2000 mg of myo-inositol per serving, a daily dosage often recommended to support reproductive wellness. Myo-Inositol is a naturally occurring substance belonging to the B complex family of vitamins.

Myo-Folate also provides folate, which may reduce the risk of neural tube defects. Each packet includes 333 mcg of methylfolate, which is more bioavailable than synthetic folic acid. Adequate intake of folic acid may reduce the risk of neural tube defects.

What is the difference between folic acid, folate and methylfolate? Vitamin B9 is typically referred to as folic acid or folate, the synthetic form found in fortified foods and many vitamin supplements or the form that naturally occurs in foods, respectively. Yet, to be utilized effectively in the body, both the synthetic and most of the food-derived folate we consume must be converted via a natural enzyme pathway in our body to the final bioactive form called L-methylfolate (also known as 5-MTHF). It is at this time, when MTHF is created, that “active B9” can enter cells and cross over the blood brain barrier to help nourish our tissues and brains optimally.

Myo-Folate is a drinkable dietary supplement designed to support reproductive wellness in healthy women – a convenient alternative to swallowing capsules. An unflavored powder that can be mixed with water or juice – or add it to your smoothie. Each packet contains 2,000 mg of myo-inositol. Contains methylfolate, a bioavailable form of folic acid – adequate intake of folic acid may reduce the risk of neural tube defects. Made without gluten, dairy, soy, yeast, lactose, eggs, nuts, sugar, artificial colors or artificial preservatives. Non-GMP and vegetarian

Questions you may be asking yourself

Can I take Myo-Folate when I am pregnant or breastfeeding?

Myo-Folate is designed to support fertility, so once you become pregnant, its job is done! We recommend that once you get that big fat positive on a pregnancy test, you discontinue taking Myo-Folate, and that you start taking it again when you are ready to conceive your next baby. We do not recommend that you take Myo-Folate while you are breastfeeding.

Can I take two packets of Myo-Folate per day?

Each packet of Myo-Folate contains 2,000 mg of myo-inositol and 333 mcg of folate. We recommend taking one packet each day to support optimal fertility. However, some women find that 4,000 mg of myo-inositol per day is beneficial for them, and will choose to take 2 packets each day.

Should I take a prenatal vitamin along with Myo-Folate?

Yes, absolutely. Myo-Folate is designed to support fertility and reproductive health. However, it is not designed to provide all of the preconception vitamin and mineral support that you need. We recommend that all women who are actively trying to conceive take a prenatal/preconception multivitamin, such as PeaPod Prenatal.

Can I take FertilAid for Women with Myo-Folate?

Yes, Myo-Folate and FertilAid for Women can be taken together. Like Myo-Folate, FertilAid for Women supports hormone balancing and fertility, but it does so using herbal ingredients, and also contains a full prenatal vitamin – all of which makes it compatible with Myo-Folate.

Can you take this along with prescription medicines?

We do not expect any adverse interactions, but we do recommend that you consult with your physician before adding any new dietary supplement if you are taking any prescription medication. Also, please consult with your physician before taking myo-inositol if you have been prescribed a medication for depression or anxiety, or if you are taking the herb St. John’s Wort, as large amounts of myo-inositol may have additive effects when taken along with drugs and herbs classified as selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRI) and selective serotonin norepinephrine reuptake inhibitors (SNRI).

Why can’t I mix Myo-Folate with carbonated beverages?

We don’t recommend it as it can change the taste, appearance, and ability to mix it in.

Why is methylfolate better than folic acid?

Methylfolate is the bioactive form of Vitamin B9.
